Richard is the CEO and Founder of Evolve Business Excellence (Evbex). Richard lives in Cardiff, United Kingdom and Evbex provides global FM advisory, consultancy, FMTech, R&D and Training

He has a master’s degree in Facilities Management (FM) and has a construction, engineering and facilities management background spanning 34 years.

Richard has served with many organisations and bodies in promoting and furthering the development of FM and amongst other roles is currently an active British Standards Institution (BSI) committee member, associate consultant, and approved trainer. He represents BSI on the international ISO FM committee where he contributes towards the authoring of FM standards including two new ISO standards. He is a visiting lecturer at several universities and has authored several articles on FM.

Richard has a passion for promoting the FM profession as a value-added strategic driver that will help every organisation meet its goals. Much of his work involves developing value-based FM standards and service quality within organisations which will deliver direct cost savings, increased efficiencies, and productivity and which will mitigate client risks. He has established the Quality-Value index as a way of benchmarking FM performance and directing an organisation towards optimum ‘best value’ solution through lean and effective FM approaches. He has launched an FM Tech solution, FM Navigate which manages FM from the client’s lens and is currently integrating sustainability into FM in a way that has never been done before. Richard has also applied this combined experience and knowledge to developing an online KPI portal for the FM industry.
