My journey into the world of FM was not at all planned. I previously worked as an environmental consultant but I was struggling to progress through my career a the pace I wanted to in a very male dominated environment. Seeking a new challenge I was recommended ISS as a place open to making change. I joined as a Health & Safety manager role before being approached to take the role of Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging for ISS UK & Ireland. How did I get this role ' I saw a gap in our business to make a difference for those struggling with the menopause. I created a training, supporting documentation, podcasts, I basically went rogue to make a change I could see was needed. For that initiative and effort to go above and belong I was asked to create and lead the whole D&I strategy for ISS UK & Ireland.
